Hello, i really like how you write and it feels pretty accurate to the lore (maybe idk i forgot) anyways, i heard fnaf and dbd are collabing in summer 2025 idk if bhvr trolling but it'll be cool if the missing kids become the survivors or killers. I wonder what the killers actually think about kids being in the Entity's realm. And probably William afton or springtrap is just there and just brags how killed the kids and uses them for a bunch of experiments. I wonder how some of the killers react (put any killers that would probably be like 'wtf is this guy saying' and felt pity for the kids, some humanity ig)

tbh i'm on the side of people who think that it'll probably just be a cosmetic collab, personally. i also don't really think bhvr would put actual children in their game, neither as a survivor or killer tbh. if there were an actual chapter to come out of this collab, i would probably guess it would probably be movie related?? so springtrap, mike and vanessa, most likely, but idk i've only been playing the game since december last year so i'm still Very new. though it would be very funny to load into a game and be hunted down by an animatronic of a bear possessed by a child. and sad. very sad.

but. the idea of a child ending up in the fog has always been on my mind so. let's say these kids did get dragged into the fog. dare i say... killers and survivors join forces and boycott the entity. i don't think any of these guys would be chill with kids just... hangin around a place like this.

god, and imagine anna finding out that william killed them bro.... it's on sight. old british guy will not escape unscathed, i fear.

maybe it's because i'm against child murder, personally, but i don't think any of the killers would be chill with afton. obviously, i don't think the non-human killers such as singularity, unknown, nemesis, etc etc would necessarily care much, but if william actively goes around and brags about how he took away their lives and whatnot, then yeah. my dude is gonna have no friends in the fog.

and i think it's safe to say that not a single survivor would be chill with william afton at all. not even because he's a killer meant to torment them endlessly, it's literally the child murder that they all hate. if they could, i think they'd all gang up on him. but alas.

also i hate to say this but one time i read a fic where a kid did end up in the realm and the entity adopted her so now i just have this image in my head of the entity having a 'realm's no.1 mother' mug and showing off her kid to the killers and survivors with pride.

so if the kids did end up in the fog, i just picture the entity adopting them, i fear.

this does make me wonder what william's ability and perks would be if he were put in the game, tbh.

but thank you for the kind words!! i'm still fairly new to the game, w only like... roughly 700 hours i think, but i really love it and the characters and i can talk about it for. a hot second, obviously. i'm committing character lore into memory, and i try to have that reflect in my writing as best as i can so!!

The entire idea was inspired off of THIS lovely little qna written a bit ago! havnt forgotten about it since! Despite what the AU might have you believe And recently I decided I could just draw out the fun part instead of go through the pain of storyboarding and cleaning up a nearly 4 minute long song 👍👍👍

Thats the idea though, theres no real plot, so no real context I can give other than the things the comic itself already provides. “This Is Home” just works incredibly well for this poor childs trauma, and it was a great opportunity to practice my composition and storytelling!!

Onto the deep analysis of every frame individually!!! (this is normal. this happens every time.)

The idea that Wingdings just eventually- gave up. Trying to connect with anyone. HURTS ME DEEPLY. I’m not sure if thats specifically because he just couldn’t get the font thing down, but I imagine that was a big contributing factor. But thats what specifically stops him here. He eventually slams his keys down on the board and says “IM DONE” and throws himself into a thing he can purely enjoy on his own- science. Even at a young age, I feel he only had 2 lives. One with Sans, and one with science. Then when those worlds combined when he became the royal scientist uhhh- I imagine it got worse.

Speaking of his young age, In these shots he’s also notably a tad older than the later depictions of his younger self with the scarf. Less full of joy and whimsy

“His mind is in a different place” is taken a tad more negatively than in the context of the song I feel, as he’s more or less isolated himself from everyone (but Sans) now in this “giving up” phase of his childhood. I wonder how Sans noticed/took that and if he tried to convince him otherwise, but in this case he just thinks he needs some time to himself.

Also let it be known that the words being crammed in at the “Give him a little bit of space” bit is on PURPOSE and a SILLY LITTLE JOKE/VISUAL GAG GIVEN THE LINE. I AM SO FUNNY.

The colors are also notably dark blues, that get greyer when Wingdings has given up. The light that Sans lets in ((looks into the camera, tearing up)) is still pretty cold despite it being brighter.

The berating is also in uppercase to show most of this is from Wingdings’ pov- I know he speaks in proper casing at this time, but I NEED SOME SORT OF INDICATOR, WORK WITH ME HERE. His main issue was his own self consciousness and desire to communicate properly, since it was said before on the blog that no one really picked on him for his inability to talk to them.

Then we have Papyrus!! The colors are similarly blue, but a lot brighter and a touch purpler and greener. Its from the same world, but not the same person. Also he’s wearing a yellow vest which is the complimentary color to blue ☝️

Papyrus is more heavily associated with warm colors in contrast to Wingdings, but this takes place very early on when he was very confused where his place was (or at least I assume thats what happened). He’s associating with warm colors (yellow) but is somewhat weary about it and still subconsciously clutching onto the comfort in familiarity.

The scene ofc depicts Papyrus being incredibly uncomfortable about any photos of himself as a child. It still definitely…looooks… like him. it just feels really wrong.

Similar thing to last time with the fonts as well, uppercase, Papyrus’ pov, he just wants to know who/WHAT he is.

I enjoy the colors in the photo and how they reallly stand out from the rest of the shot, just another emphasis that the photo feels otherworldly to Papyrus.

This is the part where I start weeping pitifully. The tiny Wingdings to Gaster comparison- it’s just so upsetting, I want to know what this poor child would think if he saw what he ends up as 😭

Wingdings enjoyed dreaming about the real stars he MIGHT get to see one day with Sans. The scene is dark, as it still hasnt happened yet, but still bright and hopeful as he stares up at the light! Its always a possibility. But then we have Gaster, who finally did it. He reached the stars, he gets to look up and say “wow…. I really did it”. Staring up at the void before him. Without Sans…I feel he wouldn’t ponder on it much, and consciously he doesn’t see anything bad about his circumstances, but the crack going down his eye that elludes to a tear says otherwise in the suppressed emotions.

The world Wingdings lived in when he was small, seemed so endless…Despite the underground being small compared to the real world, his imagination was endless. He could dream, he could imagine, and create things, get and give new ideas! But now as an adult that just so happens to be a lovecraftian entity, everything is much more simple and straightforward. At least from his perspective…Gaster may be able to DO way more than he ever could as a small child, but his mind is pretty one track at this point.

I wonder how Gaster feels…Now that they’ve gotten to the surface. without him

Im not sure how Papyrus in the game or even in the comic feels about stars, but Sans for one doesnt have to daydream anymore. They’ve also “done it” just like Gaster, but the hug insinuates less of that and more a “we WON”. They share in this moment together more emotionally than anything.

Again, compared to Gaster and them, they enjoy the moment in their own ways- Gaster just the action of seeing the stars, and Papyrus in what the moment itself means. I feel those are the 2 wants Wingdings had and thats a lot of what Papyrus and Gaster are. 2 halfs of Wingdings’…whole…thing

Also the stars welcoming him with open arms is both in reference to Sans but also Papyrus welcoming/accepting/loving himself…

i was thinking about trials of apollo and how apollo acts with meg in the books and i couldn’t help but think of will, autsin & kayla and the rest of his dead children.

i can imagine those three being like: ‘why couldn’t he love his own children how he does with meg?’ and ‘why couldn’t we be the ones to make him see that being mortal isn’t bad and that it’s important to love?’

ig another annoying thing about the 'this transcends language 😲😱' comments about the most obvious of cognates and literal english loanwords, is that it's another example of how native english speakers (and, by virtue of their population size, mostly USamericans) are the arbiters of what gets seen as 'universal' vs what's weird and foreign on the anglophone internet. cause to me as a dutch speaker, a lot of german compound words would '''transcend language''' - but the tweets that go viral about those kinds of words are about how they're silly little nonsense words to laugh at, can't be a real language, can you believe anyone speaks that!

So.

Gale Killed Prim, and his relationship with Katniss ended because of it. Why is Peeta different?

"Why was she able to forgive Peeta but not him? She had dismissed Gale from her life with barely a blink. Snow had twisted Peeta’s gifts and turned him into a weapon against the people he loved. Hadn’t Coin done the same thing to Gale? He loved Prim like his own sister." A quote from oakfarmer on ao3 that I actually have SO many thoughts on, though I can't remember which of their fanfics this is from. Darn me for not labelling my notes well enough.

What it boils down to, for me I think, is that the capitol has to create things to manipulate Peeta but D13 used what was already there for Gale. Gale already had a mean arrogant streak and wasn't good at taking criticism or rejection. He already had a cold callousness about killing and death. He was already a bit radicalized, and Coin did twist that into something worse. No, Gale didn't kill Prim, Coin did. BUT Gale did invent the weapon + tactic used by his ally and superior to kill her. Katniss told him it was wrong, this trap he'd made, and he condescended to her about it, how this is just how war works. Acted like she was just naive about it. His own ignorance of the reality of life and death and his complete disregard for human life on the other side of the war is what got Prim killed.

Peeta, on the other hand, is nothing like his highjacked self. They didn't take pieces of his personality, personal flaws, etc. and twist them into their perfect soldier. The capitol had to use false memories, had to inflate his insecurities, had to use chemicals and torture and mutated venom. They didn't make Peeta aggressive through hatred or vengeance, they made him aggressive through bodily fear. The venom and his body's extreme adrenaline, the fight or flight response to that. He didn't attack Katniss bc he thought he was better than her or bc she deserved it, he attacked her because the very sight of her caused his body to go into overdrive of adrenaline to protect himself from her. This is a Peeta that *hates* Katniss, and he wants to kill her, but her specifically. He only reacts negatively towards other people (other than normal trauma-induced stuff) when she is involved somehow, like him flipping out on Delly while Katniss watched behind the glass.

These characters are not equivalent. And from a meta perspective, they're not supposed to be. Katniss ends up picking Peeta. Yes, the character obviously would have picked him, but also Katniss as a narrative figure picks him. She picks what he represents. Integrity in war. That boy on the rooftop that said he was willing to kill in self defense and to do what he needed to do but wanted to stay himself. Wanted to stay a human being even in that violence. Wanted to come out the other side of it still intact. Wanted the flowers to grow again after the harsh winter; a dandelion in the spring. Not the cycle of destruction, of forever punishing those that have wronged you, that both Gale and a capitol-kids hunger game would represent.

Which brings my thoughts also to the male loneliness epidemic. (We won't even get started on the fact that when women have problems it's something they need to just get over and take a joke, but when men have problems it's an epidemic) That is Gale. Yes, he has absolutely valid reasons behind his emotions. But he then takes those emotions and becomes radicalized, become something lesser. And that is so indicative of our current political climate in a lot of ways. Men have been hurt by the patriarchy also, they have been raised and socialized and desensitized and to not forming genuine emotional connections with the men around them or the women there in a relationships with. And I do separate those specifically, because men are also taught to not see women as people, so to a lot of men you are either a. someone they are related to b. someone they are romantically interested in or c. someone they are sexually interested in. And that is all a woman can be to them, not a friend.

So every which way they turn men are not taught the skills it takes to not be lonely. Community and having a support system and a network of people doesn't just happen by accident. That is something that you build, and cultivate, and prune, and intentionally add to. Men are lonely because they want someone else to do the work for them. But the onus is on them and the system that made them that way.

And that man is the same as Gale. Someone who is rightfully hurt and wounded by the society they live in but then takes those real feelings and experiences and lets it justify all of the awfulness that follows.

Gale and Peeta are not equivalent. In dumbed down terms, Gale became bad because of what was already in him and then was fine to stay that way. Peeta became bad because of something someone else put in him, and then he did the work to not stay that way.

Oakfarmer again, to bring my rambling back to its original point: "Snow turned Peeta into a weapon, Coin turned Gale into a weapon. Both had been unleashed to destroy Katniss. They were the same, but they weren’t the same at all. The Capitol pumped venom into Peeta to create a hateful mutt. Coin only needed to provide an outlet for the hateful venom already circulating Gale’s veins. Hate and rage, he had never tried to suppress. Hate and rage, Peeta painstakingly clawed his way out of to recover his identity."

I attended my first ritual yesterday and I returned a different girlie 🎀

I wish to yap about it so be warned, there will be some Skeletour spoilers under the cut here.

The show understandably started with the new songs which tbh I didn't feel that strongly about just yet. However, I was completely sold when the fourth song turned out to be From the Pinnacle to the Pit, one of my beloveds. The dramatic pope robes and the pedestal? 👌

When it comes to the transition to Papa V, I was impressed by how Tobias Forge managed to change his voice slightly for the new persona. I'm not a musician so I can't pinpoint what was different but, the vocals had a different quality to it, I can only describe it as sounding more nasal to me. And it was especially noticeable during Future Is a Foreign Land. That song was such vibes live ✨.

And I absolutely get what the people were on about when they said that Ghost songs just hit different during rituals. Darkness at the Heart of My Love is a beautiful song, although not my favourite, but live it slapped good.

Oh, also, Satanized was a treat! Papa was covering behind the mic stand during the preaching segment of the song, and then later on he was sitting on the steps and rocking slightly...

Umbra with the cowbell was cool as fuck.

Unsurprisingly everyone went crazy during Year Zero, I fully expected to lose my voice for the next day, and I think it was actually a genius move to put He Is following after. It seemed impossible to top Year Zero with anything that would be as powerful so, the complete 180 in vibes with calm He Is makes much sense. Rebuilding the stained windows of the church after the shattering end of Year Zero... The combo was delightful 💜

And I'm sorry but the set design of Rats was the fucking Mustafar 😏

Papa was such a diva on the stage, prancing around, changing costumes like a girlie unable to decide which dress is serving the most.

Also, Papa V: "We have one more song so don't be fucking whimpery".

😳 okay Papa, anything you say, I saw you little over an hour but I'm already attached... Then my brain blew into the stratosphere when the song in question turned out to be the fucking Monstrance Clock!!! I did not even dare to hope they would play this one!
